An inter-university master's degree covering all aspects of terrestrial biodiversity, focusing on providing working tools for future professionals or researchers. Divided into four modules (instrumentation, characterization, conservation and management) followed by external internships in companies or research centres and an end-of-master’s degree project, it aims to provide basic knowledge for good professional and research performance in the environmental field.

The master’s degree is eminently practical and oriented towards labour insertion.

ACCESS PROFILE

Preference will be given to students with Biology degrees, sorted by academic record. This will be followed by students with degrees in Environmental Sciences, Forestry and Environmental Engineering, and Agricultural and Agro-food Engineering. Finally, students of Pharmacy, Chemistry, Veterinary and Marine Science degrees (as well as other Science degrees if so decided by the Inter-University Academic Committee).

COURSE OBJECTIVE

Future graduates will have an academic profile that will allow them to access positions related to the study and management of biodiversity, such as environmental consultancy, positions of environmental manager in administrations, or environmental dissemination among others. In addition, graduates may be incorporated into research on related topics.
